New Grad, Prenuptial Affairs, Mom's Day, Dad's Day... Whatever the occasion, it's time to get out the grill and fix up some fun, healthy PARTY FOOD!
Party Tips: tell us what you think...
~Remove all visible fat from the meats you plan to grill.
~Watch Sauces- read the nutrition labels, and measure
out all sauces (level tablespoons, level teaspoons etc) seasonings and marinades as calories and sodium like to hide here.
~Don’t party STARVING!! Have a profast protein supplement or
a few raw veggies before the big event.
~Limit snacking on appetizers and finger
foods. Constant snacking means constant
calorie intake.
calorie intake.
~If you are hosting the party, have lots of healthy
protein and veggie appetizers. If you're a guest, make and bring your own healthy
finger foods. You'll only add to the party!

1-2 tsp. chives, chopped (plus more for garnish)
2 Tbsp. low-fat sour cream
Turkey bacon pieces
Granulated garlic to taste (a little goes a long way)
salt to taste
Using a melon baller, scoop out the center of the cucumber cups, being careful as not to go through the bottom of the "cups". Make sure your cucumber pieces are big
enough to leave a base for the cups after you scoop most of the meat out.
For the filling: Combine the caramelized
onions with sour cream and chives in a bowl. Start with just a little
until you have the right onion to sour cream ratio you prefer. Season to
taste with garlic and salt.
Spoon the filling into the cucumber cups, top
with bacon pieces. These are best chilled a bit before serving.
